SERVICES
ADULT PSYCHOTHERAPY
I have an integrated and collaborative approach to working together. The therapeutic interventions I offer are personalized and dependent on the issues present. Together, we discover patterns of being that perpetuate what you experience in life. This includes patterns of thinking, feeling, and doing. Some parts of therapy may be focused on concrete changes that can be made while other aspects of our work together will be centered on exploring your experiences throughout life and how some inner conflicts or difficulties may be creating obstacles for you. This process of therapy helps you gain a better understanding of yourself, feel more clarity in how you want to engage with the world around you and be more present in your life.
ADOLESCENT PSYCHOTHERAPY
Adolescents are in a unique stage of development; holding onto the bonds of childhood while budding into their adult selves. My approach to working with adolescents respects the crossroad of life they are in. Ultimately we do the same work together as I do with adults with some additional processes. If there is a school component to the issues at hand, we will also work on strategies together and develop a plan to address the problem. Particularly with younger adolescents, I have periodic meetings with the parents to check in on how things are at home and collaborate together to best support the adolescent.
CHILD PSYCHOTHERAPY
Children, like adults, come in all different shapes and sizes. Depending on their age and the issues, I may utilize games or play techniques to help them express and understand their feelings. While others may benefit more from talking. Parent meetings will be a more regular component of therapy to collaborate and integrate what is happening in therapy and at home.
